What do I get when I buy a paper pattern from Style Arc?
You receive a professional pattern on quality paper with construction notes and other instructions in a pattern envelope. The Style Arc team has decades of fashion industry experience. We’re proud of the fit of our garments. We’re always looking for the latest trends and design up-to-the-minute styles for you to sew at home.
We have two types of hard copy paper patterns: single-size and multi-size. Most of Style Arc’s recent patterns come in multi-size. For multi-size patterns a number of different sizes (for example sizes 4 – 16, 10-22 and 18-30) are nested in a single pattern. Each size is printed in a different colour.
I bought a paper pattern but I haven’t received it yet. When is it going to arrive?
We aim to dispatch orders within three working days. We send deliveries by Australia Post to Australian customers. If you purchase 8 or more patterns, your order will be shipped via UPS for International customers and Australia Post Express. All patterns are printed to order in Melbourne Australia – during periods of high volume (usually at the start of the month or when new products are released) dispatch times can be between three to seven working days. Factoring in printing, processing and delivery, Australian customers should receive their goodies within 12 business days. Most international customers should receive their orders within 20 business days. Unfortunately due to Covid, sometimes international deliveries can take up to 8 weeks, depending on how busy your local postal service is and the discretion of the local customs officers.
Thank you for your patience!
I bought a digital pattern but I haven’t received it yet. When is it going to arrive?
Digital patterns should be emailed to you immediately. If you haven’t received your patterns within 60 minutes, please check your SPAM or JUNK folder. Sometimes emails from unexpected addresses can be filtered out by your mail system. If you still can’t find your pattern files, please contact us with your order number and we’ll look into it.

How do I fuse pattern pieces?
The preferred way to fuse pattern pieces is as follows. Iron the fusing to the wrong side of a piece of fabric. Make sure the piece of fabric is large enough for all the pattern pieces requiring fusing. Then lay the pattern pieces down on the fused fabric and cut them out.
How deep should I cut into the matching notches?
Always cut the notches less than the seam allowance. For example, on a woven pattern where the seam allowances are 1 cm (3/8") notch the fabric 5 mm (1/4").
