I love these cargo pants, very easy to follow instructions. I usually have to make a few small alterations, around the waist, when making pants but I had to do very little to get a perfect fit which I normally do with most pant patterns.

I made these in a stretch denim expecting them to be quite fitted but found them looser round the hips than other woven StyleArc pant patterns I’ve made in the same size, such as the Carlisle Jeans. If I make them again, I’ll use a slightly lighter fabric and take them in a couple of centimetres on the hips. I like the style though and the legs are a nice width.

I have made three pairs of these pants. I wanted to wear them on a safari trip and have been very pleased with the result. I found the sizing large and brought it down some two sizes. I also made some alterations, using a more basic pocket on the leg, raised the waistline slightly and also narrowed the leg down a bit. I used a cotton broadcloth which was very easy to work with.
Once I had sizing right I found the pattern easy and quick to do.

This is now my new favorite pattern. I made 2 pairs in 4 days. It fits so well that I didn’t do any alteration for fit. I only altered the pocket style as I like more a top entry as in jeans, and shaved a bit off the top of center front because I like it a bit dipping lower at waist part of front. Everything put together nicely. Love how easy the faux fly is, and love the cargo pockets. I used linen for fabric. Now I want to make more because I absolutely love them. Love the look of cargo + comfortable wearing of elastic waist, roomy enough for movemen, but not baggy. Cannot ask for a better pattern.

I completed my Delta cargo pants and wore them today. I used a suiting fabric and was extremely pleased with the outcome. The pattern was concise and the slacks went together easily. I did shave a bit off the front at the waistline as they were just a tad long in the front, but otherwise a perfect fit.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
