Very sweet and super simple little top for young ladies. I made one for my 9 year old daughter who is very tall and fits a size 12. I used a scrap of hot pink with little sequins on it left over from an outfit I made my eldest daughter when she was about the same age. It came together very fast, took almost 2 hours for me to construct it as the fabric didn’t behave very well regardless of ironing and steam. The result is charming and my daughter is thrilled. She is going to wear it with the denim skirt I made (using another teens pattern, the Carlisle jeans) when we go to the movies this afternoon.
I highly recommend this pattern for anyone looking for a simple singlet top or dress for the young lady in their life. The instructions are short but concise and if you’ve had any sewing experience you will grasp their meaning.
I used a fusible web to help me with the neck and arm bands just to keep my fabric stable and in place as it was a little shifty for a knit.
