With right sides facing sew the front bodice to the front skirt panel, starting at the front, sew through the top edge of the bodice pocket as you sew, be careful not to catch the front pocket opening, finishing at the front back seam. To sew the armholes seams of the body and facing together start at the underarm facing seam and from the inside with right sides together pin the two front armholes seams together, sew from the underarm up to the shoulder seam and repeat for the back armhole. This must to be sewn in two parts as it’s not possible to sew all the way around the armhole in one process.
Sew an understitch to the front and back armhole facing as far as possible. Sew a small hand stitch at the base of the armhole facing to the body to hold in place. Sew a sink stitch (stitch in the ditch) around the back neck securing the main and facing collars together.
Sew two buttonholes to the right front as marked on the pattern and sew two buttons to the left front to correspond with the buttonholes.
