CONSTRUCTION:
With RST, pin the Front belly to the Top back at the side seams and shoulders. Sew, then neaten with an overlocker/ serger. Press the seams towards the belly.
With RST, sew the short ends of the main hem band together and press the seam open. Fold the band in half so the notches match and press, creating a band. Repeat with the neckband and the pair of armhole bands.
With RST and matching notches and seams, pin the hem band to the back opening; you will need to stretch the band slightly. Sew the band, neaten with an overlocker/ serger and press to the main body. You may choose to top stitch the opening, 6mm (1/4”) from the seam. Refer to sketch. Repeat with the neckband and the pair of armholes.
Trim any loose threads and gently press your new dog vest.
