Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.

OMG – I LOVE this top. I have had the pattern for ages and had a small bit of linen to use up and thought Id give it a go. It fits perfectly around the shoulders and I made absolutely no adjustments. The sleeves are the perfect short length to provide coverage but still look summery and cool and everything matched up perfectly in the pattern pieces. I will definitely make this again. It turned out so much nicer than what I expected and looks really nice with the loose front section which is the perfect length to go over the top of a waistband. I am so happy with how this turned out 🙂

The Elizabeth top is lovely and great for draping fabrics. Easy to make and a joy to wear. I used French seams which were easily accommodated into the construction. As always, the sizing of Style Arc patterns is perfect. I highly recommend this pattern for it’s easy to follow instructions, clean lines and modern design.

If you are looking for something stylish, especially if you are larger and want to hide your tummy, this is definitely the pattern for you. I have made two of these already and they are so classy. Loads of compliments. Nobody can believe it is a handmade garment. Lovely pattern, have not seen anything like it in the shops. Very, very pleased with the results and incredibly easy to make with clear instructions throughout.
