Delighted with the construction and final result of this tunic. The sleeves are the star of the show, for the lining I used a different fabric to reduce thickness. Fits well around the neck, (it narrows at the front), and bust. Drapes well and flattering. I made this in 100% cotton with a high thread count. The length is perfect, Im 5ft 5 and looks great with narrow trousers or leggings.

As is mentioned repeatedly with Style Arc patterns, the instructions and pictures are minimal. Itβs definitely a good idea to have some sewing experience for their patterns. I picked the Kent top as it was the most similar pattern I could find for the look I wanted. I shortened the pattern about 7β for a more cropped blouse instead of tunic length. I shortened the placket about 4β. I only used the outer sleeve, added 1β so it would hit below my elbow, and shirred the sleeve for a gathered look. Very pleased with the final product. 4 stars based on the lack of detailed instructions.

I was disappointed in this pattern. The collar was not the good size: it was too short. Because the instructions were not detailed, I had an issue with the placket. I decided to cut another front part from another pattern. I did a full placket at the front like a shirt and I omitted the collar. The sleeves were perfect. Finally, I was able to finish this tunic. If I do another one, I will use this pattern with the modifications that I made.

After having this pattern on my to do list for ages I finally sewed it up. I love it. It went together easily.
I made it out of a dark green voile , and I like the drape and shape of the fabric in this style. The cotton voile made the sleeves puffy yet soft. I would like to make the next one out of a white lawn.
Highly recommend this pattern.

I adore this tunic/blouse. It feels very youthful but still a little bit sexy with the low (but secure) front tab. I found it sewed up well BUT the arm bands were far, far too tight for my arms (disclaimer, I have fairly chunky upper arms and have bursitis so any constriction is painful) I ended up added elastic roulette to each side of the cuff and fastening it with silk, Chinese knot cufflinks.
I sewed the 10 per my bust measurement but I did nip the side seam a wee bit, for some extra shape.
The sleeve is a very, very clever feature.
Highly recommend this one, just check that sleeve cuff.

I really like the pattern. I made it in rayon and everything went together great until I got to the placket. The directions were difficult for me to understand – maybe more pictures? I am an experienced sewer, so I just winged it and put the buttons on the front. It looks fine and I’m happy with it.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
