Love this pattern and have made 3 already to match my PJs tops. I added pockets using the Delta pants pattern pockets, which worked well, I love having pockets in my PJ pants.
I think these could be easily used to make pants for everyday use and I am planning to make some with a lightweight twill to match a Smith jacket to wear together or separately. A great versatile pattern which makes up into a comfy pair of pants.

Enjoyed making these pj pants. Made with flannel, which was not the best choice. Will be making them again with a stretch knit fabric.

Beautiful pants. I made these in satin with piping. The diagrams were super helpful, but also used youtube to get some tips on inserting piping. The waistband technique is new to me, but I’m glad I gave it a go as directed. I had a little trouble with the cuffs, they were 1cm bigger than the pant leg, but that was more to do with fabric choice and feed dogs in my machine I think. really proud of these. I made a size 12, I am usually between a 12 and 14 pant AU commercial sizing. The fit was perfect.

I made three pair of these PJ – I used knit cotton jersey. First I printed the pattern without double checking scale – I made one pair from the “large” pattern. Then I ordered the hard copy. Will do that from now on. Anyway – I think the pattern is very good. I made changes. I think 3/8″ seam allowance is too small – I always use French seams so I made the seam allowance 5/8″. Once you use French seams you never can go back. I also thought the waistband instructions were too complicated. I first sewed the right side of the waist band to wrong side of the PJs. then folded it over and top stitched the right side of the band to the right side of the PJ waist. I also lengthened the “waist” by 1.5″. I am long waisted and I also can’t stand PJ bottoms creeping up my bottom – I lengthen the crotch area. I also made them at least one size bigger than measurements – They are PJs after all. And lastly I added pockets. Everything should have pockets now – with the dam reliance on phones etc. I had a pocket pattern from another pattern that I simply laid on the front of each side of the PJs – heavenly. I don’t see anywhere to add a photo but I do have one.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
