Feel comfortable and look great in this gorgeous V-neck dress. The under-bust horizontal tuck is enhanced by the front inverted pleat, side in-seam pockets and roll-up sleeves. This is a loose fitting garment and therefore has considerable positive ease.

I used some very cheap crepe fabric to make a toile of the dress. I loved it so decided to line it with some red viscose I had in my stash. I made a mistake on the neckline so I used hotfix rhinestones to cover the little frays. I am looking forward to making more Patricia Rose

A lovely dress, but unfortunately the style did not suit me. Thankfully I made a muslin so I didn’t use up my good fabric.
I gave it four stars as it was my first time sewing with Style Arc and their instructions are lacking.

I modified the pattern to duplicate the box pleat and bodice tuck on the back, but only because I’m not keen on a straight back panel over my rear.
Very pleasant to sew. I made it in pure linen, but would like to try the style in a few different fabrics, and perhaps in short sleeve and sleeveless variations.
This was a lovely pattern, very easy to construct, and a dream to wear. since i am short, it would have been a good idea to raise the position of the pockets, otherwise everything fit fine.
I do wish Style Arc would print bust points, waistlines, and hip lines on the patterns. It would make it so much easier to adjust for our “less than ideal” figures.

This is the first time I have bought a PDF sewing pattern, so I was a bit nervous. It did take a while to put together but was easier to do than I expected. I have now cut it out in linen but haven’t finished the sewing yet. However, I don’t see there being a lot of problems.

This is a well-designed pattern, easy fitting but not at all shapeless. The sizing was good. I’ve made two in linen and will certainly make others. As others have said, the instructions for the tuck at the front look puzzling at first but once you have the dress in front of you, you can easily see how it works.

Brilliant pattern. No problem sewing it up, all the pieces came together well. I made the size 12 and it is a perfect fit, the sizing is spot on, it is very flattering on and I love the unfussy look! I shortened the sleeves and omitted the pockets but those were the only changes I made. I am already planning to make up another dress in this style. I made this one in a lovely soft cotton chambray which suited the style just fine.

I was disappointed in this pattern as I found it to be slightly on the small side. The sleeves were going to be so tight I actually left them off and just put bias around the arm hole. I was surprised as Style Arc are usually a generous fit.
I may try the pattern again in a stretch fabric, which would provide a better fit.
As usual, Style Arc instructions lack detail, which I find frustrating. Hence only a 3 star rating for this one….

Super easy to make. I used linen which is perfect for this style. I’ll make it again and perhaps make it a tad longer; I’m only 5’4” and for a summer style, the shorter length is great but you may wish to add a bit extra if you’re tall. I shall never bother with any patterns other than Style Arc, which are unbeatable for style, easy instructions and most importantly, they fit exactly as you’d expect.

I have been looking at Style Arc for ages and finally downloaded and made this pattern. It is awesome and fits beautifully. Already cut out another one. I did lengthen it 8cm as I’m 5′ 10″ and the diagram is accurate, so i knew it would be too short for me. I printed the PDF on my printer but have since printed the other patterns in wide format at the local Officeworks (Australia) for a very reasonable fee. Total convert, after years off sewing I’m back and designing a whole wardrobe of clothes I like, not just what is available in the shops.

And it’s such a simple pattern that adjusting it will be easy. It’s so nice to find a dress pattern with sleeves and pockets!

First time to use a Style Arc pattern. Really pleased with the ease with which it came together although the instructions are minimal.. I did downsize as I have small shoulders and didn’t have to worry about the hip size due to the gathered skirt. A very comfortable dress which I would definitely make again. I did change the inverted pleat for a gathered waist as I saw one in Pinterest which I loved the look of. The fabric was a very reasonable soft chambray which I bought at Trago Mills.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
