Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.

This dress has a beautiful fit, and was easy to alter to my proportions. Instructions were limited but not really necessary for this simple dress. I noted that the finished measurements were smaller than the measurements given for my size, so I had to but a little bit bigger so that it could be a little loose fitting.

Nice dress, not difficult to make. However as with all the Style Arc patterns I’ve sewn, instructions leave a bit to be desired.
This pattern is an easy one, but I’ve sewn more difficult ones that have scant instructions. Anyone with less sewing experience would understandably struggle.
Being used to the comprehensive instructions provided from other independent pattern companies, I think Style Arc could do better!

Oh my …how I love this dress pattern. I chose not to use the darts as it would then be too fitted for my less than slim midriff. But can see how they would be fab.
I made size 14. The thing that drew me to Style Arc in first place was that the parts would fit properly…they do.
This is an easy make but very classic lines. Take you anywhere. I have made 3 now. Added a sleeve flounce to one. And will make more. Love it.
