Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.

I like this pattern and will most likely make it again. I had difficiulties which were of my own making. I chose a chiffon which was difficult to handle. I had wanted to make the pintucks but it proved impossible so I ended up with the gathered neckline. Also, I find the sleeves a bit on the narrow side as well. I did check the pattern against my own raglan block and I decided not to alter the pattern, but when I remake this top I may add a wee bit extra around the bicep. Otherwise it is a charming top.

I want to love this pattern, because it’s a type of style that’s very flattering and hard to find for some reason, but the proportions seem off. It’s my own fault for not making a muslin first — the sleeves are so tight I had to insert a small triangular underarm gusset. The collar is superbly drafted, as always with StyleArc, and I really love the pintucking detail, so will try again either slicing & spreading the sleeves or making one size larger than normal to see if that fixes the issue. Width of the body seems OK, it’s just the upper sleeves that are narrow.
Also a tip: the bottom of this blouse goes up on the sides like a tuck-in blouse, not squared off as it appears in the drawings, so if you plan to wear it without tucking in, definitely cut it longer than you need to make sure you can get the coverage you’d prefer.

Disappointed in this pattern for a number of reasons. The sleeves are very narrow along the whole length (and far too long for me), and because of this the shoulder area of the blouse is also very narrow, despite there being gathers on the neck at the back.
It’s not really apparent from the picture, but the bottom of the blouse has a curved seam, like shirt tails, which is not what I was wanting.
I am really sorry about this as the blouse as drawn is exactly what I was looking for.

This is one of my favorite styles. I can sometimes use a 14 pattern and for others I get a 16. I’m glad I got a 16 this time. I agree with the other reviewer about the sleeve and shoulder area. The top feel tight across the shoulder and upper arm area. I unstitched and resewed, but there wasn’t much to let out. And if you have a bit of dowager’s hump don’t use this pattern. As can be seen in the photo, it forms a pleat between the neckline and the upper arm.
I think for that style, I’ll choose another pattern.

I choose the version with the pin tucks, which I love. I made my usual size without measuring the pattern – stupid me! It made up beautifully but the sleeves were very tight on me. I didn’t have enough fabric to re-cut them so have given the top to a friend with skinnier arms and she is thrilled with it, I’ll be making this again now I have cut and spread the sleeve pattern to match my block pattern. My bad. Have realised that all the Style Arc patterns I have made before have been with knit fabrics and the sleeves haven’t been a problem at all. I’ll be checking the pattern measurements first in future.
