I love these pants – have made 2 pair – but struggle to make the waistband fit without it looking lumpy at the back. Next time I will use a full-width elastic across the back panel.
I made a 3/4 length summer pair in light hemp and a dressy winter pair in lined light wool.

Finally found a pants pattern for wovens that look great. Have made this in the full length in linen blends 3 times, and a 100% linen. As the weather warms up I am planning on a few more 100% linens at 3/4 length for work. Very happy.

Made this again, in full leg length but in a knit rather than woven fabric as recommended. Gorgeous, easy to wear, nice flow in the wide leg.

Terrific pattern, with a good high rise and leg length options. Very quick to sew. Made it in crisp cotton with 7/8 leg and will make others in full length and other fabrics.

Great. Quick, flattering (thanks to the front panel), very comfy to wear. My muslin was a shorts version and I’ll be making more of those too.

Brilliant pattern!! I have now made 4 pairs in different colours, two in corduroy an two in linen. I am now waiting for a piece of boiled wool to complete my wardrobe.
No zip. Snug fitting waist band, perfect fall with the wide leg.
I bias binded/bound the seams as the fabrics showed signs of fray, even when zigzagging. Even that extra work was hassel-free!
Next…??
I’m very impressed!!

This was my first Style Arc pattern, and I found it extremely straight forward – although had to get used to the 1cm seam allowance. I also ended up making a couple of calico versions before i managed to get the fit right. I found the sizing to the true, and pear shapes might like to make some variations to the crotch length and crotch. But very pleased with the end result. I made mine with a soft linen, and they can be dressed up or down. I also used some interfacing on the front waist piece so that the linen sits better. Am intending to make a couple more pairs in different colours and pair them with a couple of different Style Arc tops and jackets. Thank you!! Looking forward to selecting and sewing my next pattern!!

Very easy, straight forward pattern. Didn’t love the material I used (drab olive linen mix) so cut the legs off and made them into shorts. Best shorts I’ve ever had. Absolutely spot on. Have made a cream pair. Perfect. Will make a long pair from a more drapey tan I have.

I have very wide hips and a flat rear…two issues that make pants fitting a chore… I had to make 1 adjustment …the scooping out of the back crotch area….and had a nice fitting pants..it is also a very easy sew up

Very easy/quick to make and comfy to wear. Can see this style becoming a staple in my wardrobe as I can dress them up with wedges/heels or down with sneakers. Also love the wide flat waist band at the front. They are very flattering for tuck in or cropped tops.

I had to alter this pattern to fit my body – and don’t we ALL have to alter pants patterns – which took very little effort; pattern was very close to my measurements. I LOVE this pattern. It is an interesting design, flattering to the figure, easy to sew and comfortable to wear. Thanks Style Arc, I love your designs.

Purchased this pattern a couple of weeks ago and have already made two versions, one in a zebra-style woven rayon, and the second in red – ready for Christmas! I made them as 7/8’s and love them, beautiful in the rayon fabric as it drapes so well. I opted to not actually sew the elastic into the waistband as the pattern suggests and rather just attached it at both ends, seemed to work well for this kind of fabric.

I made these in a cotton linen blend. They are very quick to make and very comfortable to wear. I didn’t use any interfacing but will on my next drapier version for me. My mother liked them so much I am making a pair for her.

I made my prototype in a very light linen, I interfaced the waist bands, light interfacing on the back band and a slightly heavier on the front band. I added 2 inches to the length, I cut the pattern as the 7/8 length. I wanted to have a 3 inch hem to add some weight to the bottom, this worked very well. ( I am only 5ft 2in) I am nearly finished another linen pair and I have another cotton/linen pair cut out.
These pants are very stylish and sooooooo comfortable to wear.

Excellent pattern if you like wide leg pants. Easy to follow directions. Would like to do them in a fabric with lots of drape next time, as I used a suiting fabric and it was slightly too heavy.

I made these pants in a silk cotton and love them.
I had some issues due the fact that I had printed out the wrong size pattern 2 sizes to big and was half way through cutting them out before I realized my error.
I sewed them up anyway and then had to unpick them and remove about 10cm from the side seams.
Thoroughly worth it and I ended up with a great result.
I am planning to make another pair [ in the correct size this time] in crepe for a evening pant .
I recommend this pattern

How Do I Know What Size I Am?
Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
B. Upper Arm Girth
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
C. Bust
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
D. Waist
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
E. Hip
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
