Easy to wear cocoon shaped dress with hidden pockets and pleat neck
Hedy is a simple, unstructured shaped dress that has cleverly constructed design lines. The asymmetrical neck pleat drapes to the side seam and creates the hidden pockets and the fabulous cocoon shape.
The Hedy pattern comes in 2 lengths – a knee-length dress & mid-calf length dress with side splits.

Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.

I purchased size 10 of this pattern, which is where my measurements fall. I received size 8 and 12 as well. I am glad I did, because I found the pattern runs a bit big. So I made size 8 instead of 10, and I still took off about 1/4″ more from the side seams above the pockets. I really love how it turned out and I can see myself making a few more. I just wish I could get multi size version, as I am on a quest to lose weight, and size 8 will be too big soon.
Great pattern overall, very flattering!
