Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.
Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.
This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.
This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.
This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.

The pattern is easy to put together but i had issues to follow instructions more pictures will help. I found a lady in youtube that explained how to do the whole jacket and that was gold. It is a great jacket. I wish the top was smaller as I have a pear shape and could not figure it out how to make it smaller.

Just got it all cut Spent a lot of time on a muslin, but it was too small. Cut out good fabric in size 12. Hopefully get started sewing tomorrow. Hope it will fit, as I love the look.

Good shape – actually the best shape and line of any jeans jacket pattern I’ve dealt with. I did modifications to create a two piece sleeve, in seam pockets and a yoke facing. All worth considering with this pattern.

Excellent pattern, easy to follow. Picked size 16 although inbetween 14/16 and glad i did. Made in stretch Jeans fabric from Beyond the Pink Door worked very well.
Will make again probably in a lighter fabric to wear over a dress. Love this pattern.

I loved this pattern. I wrote a post about how I made it including photos. I have never been so pleased with a garment before. Everything is perfect, fit, design, pattern, assembly.

Lovely when finished but definitely too long for a midget like me but I learned from the experience

This is the perfect jacket length for me and I love that it curves in at the waist.

Loved the jacket. Fit true to measurements. I added 2″ to hem. The next time I make I will add to length of sleeve. as I am tall and need the added length. Need to mark pattern very carefully especially the top of back and sides. It is very easy to mix up.

Made this for a friend in a large size, shortened it to waist length as she wants to wear it over dresses. Looked great.

I like it; directions were easy to follow. I just don’t understand the folded back sleeves. It seems sort of bulky. I ended up cutting them to wrist length, but that made the entire sleeve sort of baggy, so I’ll have to go back and narrow up the sleeves from underarm to wrist.

Great jacket fit, a well-annotated pattern, the pieces fit nicely together, and the instructions are simple to understand and follow. The twin needle topstitching looks very professional, but I feel a single needle topstitch could possibly also be considered an appropriate seam finish in the absence of the correct equipment. I also added little welted pockets under the flaps of my jacket – gotta have them pockets!

Love this jacket, thought it was going to be quite a challenge but was easier to sew than it looked.. my difficulty was with the collar but found a tutorial on you tube that was very helpful. Sewed it in a light denim with white top stitching and it looks very professional. Very pleased with myself on this one. Am going to attempt white denim next.

I have made this jacket twice, once in linen & once in denim. The fit, the length and the look are perfect. The only thing with the denim one I added a cuff but other than that why change a good thing.
